“As a kid, I became interested in trains by watching a Lionel Train set that my Grandparents had when I was 2 years old. After getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona, I found a job in Tucson working for a company that manufactured model trains. After about 2 years there, I came up to Grand Canyon Railway for a photo tour, which also included a tour of the locomotive shop. The Chief Mechanical Officer at the time mentioned that they had a hard time finding employees to move to Williams and work on steam engines since Williams was a remote location and the work was often dirty and difficult. Well, it didn’t sound that bad to me, so I applied and got hired on as a Hostler Helper. That how I got my start. Over the years I have been a Fireman, an Engineer, a manager in the operating department to supervise and train operating crews, a Mechanical Manager of Locomotives, and finally a Chief Mechanical Officer in 2016.”

“I joined the Grand Canyon Railway as a Passenger Service Attendant. After earning a degree in Hospitality Management, I quickly rose to Supervisor and Manager roles, drawn to special events and charters. In 2022, I became the Lodging Department Director, implementing organizational changes to improve efficiency and guest experience. Proud to be one of the youngest directors at Xanterra, I'm inspired by the mentors I've had and enjoy helping others in their industry journeys.”
